

Carol Holford of Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully to heaven on April 29, 2018. Carol was born January 18, 1945 to Richard and Marion J. (Swain) McClellan. She was born and lived most of her life in Lansing, Michigan.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers, Rick McClellan, Randy McClellan, Dennis McClellan and her sister, Linda Barish.
She is survived by her sons Scott (Carol) Parmelee of Goshen, Indiana and Terry (Kimberly) Parmelee of Lansing, Michigan and her daughter Tina Briggs of Alto, Michigan, as well as her grandchildren: Alex (Chelsea)Parmelee, Andrew Parmelee, Sarah (fiance Corey Hartman) McCarrick, Michael Parmelee, Rachelle Parmelee, and Jacob Parmelee and great-grandchildren: Bristol, Emmett, Easton and Noah. Her family was very important to her and she always had time for her grandchildren. She had an extra special relationship with her granddaughter Sarah and great grandson Noah and was blessed to have spent her last week with them.
Carol had a flair for design and this showed in her home decorations and in her skills in cake decorating, flower arranging, ceramics and other crafts. No one was a stranger to Carol, just a friend she hadn't met yet. She was extraordinarily generous and only regretted that she did not have more to give to others.
Carol was a member of Capitol City Baptist church, although she was not able to attend in recent years. Her relationship with Christ was important to her and she was active in the church and church school for many years.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing, Michigan.
