I have known Carolyn literally all of my life since we were both born as we are almost the same age.  Our moms were best friends.  We played together very often growing up.  When her phone number was out of service I suspected a problem as I have been keeping up to date on her condition.  I was shocked to find the obit in the LSJ.  I last spoke with her in early November.  

I'm so sorry that you lost your Mom.  I never met either of you, but I feel as though I know you.

Carolyn, was a great friend, neighbor and person. Julia and Paula;  After living next door to your mom for the last eleven years and talking with her so often, I know this neighborhood will never be the same. She worked tirelessly to keep this  a nice, clean and welcome place to live. I bought my home in 2003 across the street from  Carolyn and I miss her so much. We talked nearly everyday;  for most of this time. We talked on the phone, on the porch or deck, at lunch, or when we were suppose to be working in the yard. She was my friend. We helped each other out and talked about everything. Carolyn, May God Bless You and Keep You.

Julie and Paula- we all have such great memories of your mom at the club. I always remember her beautiful smile.  I'm so sorry - Karen Crandall Izzo

Julia and Paula,  I have such fond memories of your mom.  I rember the great chocolate chip cookies she made.  I remember your dog Teddy and your mom telling me it was okay for him to lick my knee scrapes as it was very healing.  Very fun memories of your place on Roberts Lane and the apartment upstairs where Art lived and the ice skating rink your dad made in the back yard.  I also loved your place in the country and the long walks Paula and I did through the snow.  My thoughts are with you.  Peace and love.

I came to know Carolyn delivering information to her so she could call neighbors about our monthly association meetings.  We also chatted about UP experiences.  She was a great lady and we will miss her involvement in all our neighborhood activities.

Carolyn, Thank you for the pleasure of knowing you when you were born and we lived on S Mifflin St. Thank you for taking care of Janet's folks banking at Michigan National In Dewitt. Thank You for accepting the invitation to be the FIRST woman to join the DeWitt Breakfast Lions Club in Jan 1988 and remaining with us through bank changes and retirement. I'll miss working fund raisers with you and being together at meetings. May your eternal rest be better to you than your last few years of doctoring. Will look for you in the afterlife.

Julia, Paula and family...I first met Carolyn when we both worked at First of America Bank. Then I learned that we both lived in the same neighborhood. She was a lovely, gracious lady. I'm so sorry for your loss.
