

Charles proudly graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1950. From there, he went to Michigan State University graduating with his Bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1955. After graduating from MSU, he proudly served our country in the US Air Force. While working as a Certified Public Accountant, he worked for the firms of Deloitte and Layton & Richardson. After leaving public accounting, he was employed as the comptroller of Capital Tool and Die in Williamston. He retired from the State of Michigan’s Secretary of State as an auditor in 2000.
He and his wife were long time members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in East Lansing. They loved to square dance with the Bath Shooting Stars. Charles was also a member of the Capital City Cribbage League for many years. He was a huge history buff and enjoyed visiting Civil War battlefields, this love for history was passed on to his children and grandchildren. You could always find him watching sports on television, where he was cheering on the Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Tigers!
Charles is preceded in passing by his wife Jeanette (Berry) Fagg; his parents George and Katharine (Eaton) Fagg; brother and sister- in-law David & Donna Fagg; daughter-in-law Nancy Fagg; and grandson Jason Fagg. He is survived by his five sons David (Deborah) Thomas, Douglas (Steffany) Thomas, James (Tina) Thomas, Andrew (Randi) Thomas, and Edward (Audrey) Fagg; two daughters Kathryn Kitson, and Mary (Randy) McGrath; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on May 14, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3383 E Lake Lansing Rd, East Lansing, at 2:00pm.
