Charles Burke Ingersoll was born on June 27, 1947 in Lansing. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 14, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle of bone cancer for 7 1/2 years. He was a graduate of Holt High School with the class of 1965.
When Chuck was younger he was a Sea Cadet and then went to serve in the Navy for 6 years. Chuck was a retired State Employee as a Computer Tech. and was a former State of Michigan Corrections Officer at Jackson. Chuck worked as a Junior Deputy for Charlotte Police Dept. and then went into work as a Deputy for Eaton Rapids Police Dept.
Surviving Chuck are his wife, Marleen after 47 beautiful years of marriage; daughter, Kimberly Ranke of Mason; son, Michael (Celeste) Ingersoll of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren, Brenden, Megan, Ryan and Matthew Miller and Sydney Ingersoll; one great grandson, Abraham Miller; many nieces and nephews; one brother, Stephen Ingersoll of Missouri; and one sister, Stephanie Moubray of St. Johns.
Preceding him in death were his parents Henry Burke and Floy Elizabeth Ingersoll and one sister, Kaye Robison of Dimondale whom he is joining in Heaven.
He was a very kind and loving husband who loved his family with all of his heart. There was nothing he would not do for you to make you happy. He truly will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:03 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Trinity Church, 3355 Dunckel Rd. Lansing 48911. The family will receive family and friends at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Everybody will be directed to the outside for a Military Tribute. A luncheon will follow the service.
