Clifford Kent Marcy, age 78, passed away April 12, 2021 at Sparrow Hospital. C.K. was born in Alma, Michigan on May 20,1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lois (Sleesman) Marcy, and his sister, Vicky Marcy.
C.K. graduated from Alma High School in 1960, he married the love of his life, Joyce (Dreamer) Marcy on August 14, 1964. Together they enjoyed traveling and camping all around the United States but especially trips to Sweden, Denmark and Ireland to see family.
Kent and Joyce moved to DeWitt in 1972 where he became a dedicated fan of DeWitt sports. Over the years, long before and after his own children, Kim (Marcy) Brady and Nick Marcy played on various sports teams you could always find Kent in the stands cheering on the Panthers.
C.K. retired after working 40 years at General Motors in Lansing. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Aislingh, cruising around in his classic cars and socializing with his friends and neighbors.
Kent is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce, his daughter, Kim (Marcy) Brady and son-in-law, Kevin Brady of Co. Cavan Ireland, his son, Nick Marcy of Lansing, Michigan; brother, David Marcy of Alma, Michigan; sister, Jo (Marcy) Mucha and brother-in-law Tom Mucha of South Haven, Michigan; and granddaughter Aislingh Brady.
A celebration of C.K.’s life will be held as a Memorial Car Show and open house at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Williamston Roadhouse 3700 E. Grand River Ave, Williamston, Michigan.
