Went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2011 at the age of 78 surrounded by his loving family. He was one of 12 children born on May 2, 1933 in Sault Ste Marie, MI to William and Catherine (Spenser) Haynes. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan. After the army Clyde owned a service station in Sault Ste. Marie with long time friend Joe Berry. After selling the service station he went on to join the police academy and became an officer in the Soo. He also was a scuba diver. In 1964 he moved to Lansing taking a job with Fisher Body as an electrician and working his way into supervision until he retired on June 1, 1992. His alias was Col. Klink. Clyde had a very fulfilling life. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do and he had a heart of gold. He so loved his wife Ima Jean, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a wonderful loving husband, step-father and grandfather. He will live on in our hearts and will be greatly missed by all who loved him and knew him. Surviving are his beloved wife of nearly 47 years, Ima Jean. They shared a wonderful loving life together. He is also survived by step-daughter, (Jerry) Sue Royston; grandchildren, (Steve) Jenny Lantrip, Kelley Cranmore and Kristin Royston; great grandchildren, Jordan, Ashley and Amanda Cranmore, Josh Pattison, Jayda and Mason Lantrip, and Cierra Royston; sisters, Jean and Leola; brother, Earl.
