Connie Elaine Zimmerman

Born on February 15, 1947, Connie spent her life nurturing the people she loved. She was the beloved wife of Duane Zimmerman, with whom she shared 58 beautiful years of marriage. Connie was the cornerstone of her family, known for her warmth and the genuine joy she felt whenever her home was filled with the voices of her children and grandchildren. Whether it was a holiday gathering or a simple afternoon visit, she truly enjoyed every minute she spent with her family.

Beyond her busy home life, Connie found peace and rejuvenation in the outdoors. She loved traveling to her "little getaway up north," where the quiet of nature offered her a cherished escape and a place to create her favorite memories.

Connie is survived by her devoted husband, Duane. Together, they shared a life full of love and are survived by their three children: Thomas (Robin) Zimmerman, DeAnna (Gregory) Peterson, and Jennifer Zimmerman.

She was the proud grandmother of nine and their spouses: Camren (Joslynn) Peterson, Dylan (Cheyenne) Peterson, Jessica (Devin) Berger, Samantha (Brandon) Dunn, Emilee (Matthew) Wilson, Kaitlyn Zimmerman, Justin Chandler, Jamie (Luke) Cole, and Joshua (Leslie) Zimmerman.

Her legacy continues through her eleven great-grandchildren, who brought her endless smiles: Colton, Savannah, Chesney, Dawson, Lainey, Haisley, Gabriel, Susannah, Alexandra, Scarlett, and Marlowe.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Naomi Peltier, and her sister, Janet McKimmy.

Connie will be remembered for her unwavering kindness and the way she made every family member feel seen and loved. Her spirit will forever be felt in the rustling trees of the north woods she loved so much.
