

Corrin Nichols, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, born September 24, 1923 in Callaway, Kentucky to Lilburn and Eura Alton, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at the age of 89. Mrs. Nichols was valedictorian of the 1942 class of Farmington High School in Kentucky. She moved to Lansing in 1966 and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and Sunday school teacher for over 35 years. Corrin worked as a seamstress at Harolds Interiors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max LaFon Nichols; sister, Lieurelle Reed; and brother, J.T. Alton. Surviving to cherish her memory are daughter, Patricia Gale Brice; grandchildren, Kimberly Gale (Dean) Jones and Jessica Gale (Scott) Goodman; great-grandchild, Madison Gale Goodman; brother-in-law, William Nichols; nieces, Sandra Diane (Donald) Janes and Teresa Nichols. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Avenue. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W.
