Curtis J Christmas went to be with the Lord August 8, 2023. He was born in Lansing, MI to parents Jerry Christmas and Mary Christmas on November 1, 1983. After graduating from Grand Ledge High School, he was a jack-of-all trades holding a variety of jobs throughout his short life. In recent years, he chose carpentry, became a member of the Carpenters Union and launched his own business, Timber Ridge Carpentry. He took great pride in his work and had a keen eye for detail. In addition to his own business, he worked for Cousins Heating and Cooling. Curt spent much of his free time riding his dirt bike and on any given weekend you could find him at an AMA D14 hare scramble or Michigan Sprint Enduro riding, assisting at the race, and encouraging others. The course at Battle Creek Motorcycle Club was among his favorites and he became a member there. Curt was passionate about riding and enjoyed sharing his passion for the sport with others, especially kids. He was known to encourage kids and enjoyed coaching them. Teaching the importance of bike maintenance and proper thorough bike cleaning was #1 in his lesson book. It was not uncommon to hear him say "it's not clean enough" or "you missed a spot" (if you know, you know).
Curt was very successful and competitive with everything he did, always putting forth 110% effort. He liked to travel and explore, seemingly making new friends everywhere he went. His smile was contagious as was his energetic personality. He will be missed by many.
Curt is survived by his parents, daughter Kelsey, sisters Sylvia (Mike) Crow and Leslie Christmas; his nieces Mikaylynn, Ainsley, Joslynn, and Evelynn; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as his girlfriend Debby.
'And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelations 24:1.
