Daniella is a flower
Daniella makes a million years
Fly by like only hours
It felt like only hours.
Daniella Adare Pride died on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 4:30 PM. She is survived by her 4 children, Christopher, Alexander, Lillyanna and Khloe; her father Jerry Norris and step mother Shannon; her mother Storm Pride and step father Jeff Martin; her sisters Raven Norris and Abigail Martin; her brothers Rain Norris, Phillip Martin and Abram Martin; her loving grandparents; her aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Daniella loved music and sunshine, mountain dew and candy, taking selfies, being social with her friends and her huge extended family. Most of all she loved her 4 children. The saddest part of her life was losing the right to raise her babies. She hated herself for it and that self-hatred destroyed her will to choose the safest and best way to live her life daily.
Daniella struggled with drug addiction. It was a daily, even hourly, battle at its worst. She wanted to be rid of her addiction and on her good days, she was full of hope. Unfortunately, most of her days were not good and her addiction and hopelessness took her in the end.
We write this honestly because we do not want to pretend her life was sweet and happy. We want everyone to remember that she was always struggling and she always needed support from us all. Today and every day, we want everyone to consider helping someone in need with a listening ear, a ride, a shoulder to cry on, an idea for hope, advice, time, love, or anything that would make a difference in the smallest of moments in which our weakest fall down. Please make your love for humanity unconditional, life is complex and we all end up in different places.
If you have the means, her family would suggest you contribute financially in her memory to Siren or Rise: The mission of SIREN/Eaton Shelter is to promote the elimination of domestic violence and homelessness by providing temporary housing, support, advocacy, education, and information to the community. WAI-IAM, Inc. (aka Rise Recovery Community) is a non-profit organization with a mission of empowering our youth and inspiring individuals suffering from substance abuse. RISE provides post-treatment services to people ages 18 and up who are in recovery from drugs and alcohol. https://www.facebook.com/pg/waiiam/about/?ref=page_internal
A memorial for Daniella will be held on Sunday, July 16th, 2017 at Jaycee Park in Grand Ledge.
Her family will forever remember the girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead. In the words of her son, Xander, we say, "bye, bye, butterfly." We love you still.
