Born on April 20, 1972, in Warren, Michigan, David lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, quiet strength, and an unwavering love for his family.
David dedicated more than 15 years of his career to WESCO, where he proudly served as Regional Director of Operations. Beginning as a Warehouse Manager, he earned the respect of colleagues through his relentless work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence, steadily advancing through the organization into a respected leadership role. Throughout his career, David was entrusted with leading projects around the world, solving complex challenges, driving operational improvements, and mentoring future leaders. He became known as the person others called first when they needed help—and the first to offer it in return.
Though quiet by nature, David’s presence spoke volumes. His coworkers affectionately joked about how reserved he was during meetings, often trying to get a reaction from him, but he would simply smile, knowing they would try again the following week. Those who worked alongside him remember him not only as an exceptional leader, but as someone who made others feel valued, included, and supported. His impact extended far beyond the business, leaving a lasting impression on the countless lives he touched.
Outside of work, David embraced life to the fullest. He was a passionate Michigan sports fan and proudly cheered on the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions through every season. He loved spending time on the golf course, hunting, bowling, and other sporting activities with his friends. He also enjoyed trying his luck at the casino. Las Vegas was Dave’s favorite destination, where he and his beloved wife, Dana, shared countless trips together, creating cherished memories with each other, family, and friends that they both treasured. Whether traveling, watching a game, or sharing laughs with those he loved, David found joy in life’s simple moments.
Above all else, David’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and stepfather, a loving brother, and a loyal friend. His kindness, dependability, and generous heart made him someone people could always count on. The love he shared with his family was evident in everything he did, and the memories he created will forever be treasured by those fortunate enough to know him.
David is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Dana; his cherished son, Cody; his stepson, Dante Bennett; his sisters, Shannon (Bob) Bilicki and Lisa Paczesny; his nephew, Zachary Teller; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and colleagues who will deeply miss his presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus “Ted” Paczesny and Sharon Paczesny.
David’s legacy is one of quiet leadership, unwavering integrity, and unconditional love for his family and friends. He will be remembered for the lives he touched, the example he set, and the kindness he showed to everyone around him. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his love, laughter, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
