

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our adored mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the remarkable age of 96. Delores June Fate, of Williamston, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 27, 1929 in Lansing, Delores was the beloved daughter of Wayne and Esther Runciman. She was preceded in death by her parents and her cherished husband, Denny “Wayne” Fate of 63 years.
She is survived by her children, Chari Everett and Bill Fate (Tammy); grandchildren Keaton Fate (Monica) and Lacey Deatsman (Dylan); and her adored great-grandchildren, Decker and Crew Deatsman.
Delores was a pillar of the Williamston community, spending 38 years alongside her husband as owners of Fate’s Pharmacy. She was a founding member of Brookshire Country Club, a devoted member of the West Locke Wesleyan Church, and participated wholeheartedly in the Williamston Senior Center. Her ever-present smile and positivity brought joy to all who knew her, inspiring those around her with values of love and compassion.
The family would like to thank Independent Village of East Lansing and Gentiva Hospice for their amazing care and tenderness they have provided.
A private family memorial will be held in the spring to celebrate her extraordinary life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Williamston Senior Center in her honor.
Delores will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her generosity of spirit, and the legacy she leaves in the hearts of all who knew her.
