Delores Ann Reader

Delores is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Paul H. Reader who passed away September 27, 1996; grandson, Mikah McLain; brother and sister-in-law, Norman (Em) Christenson; and sister, Dorothy Christenson Pierce.

Delores first and foremost loved the Lord with all her heart. She was faithful member of Lansing South Church of the Nazarene for many years. Delores and Paul would attend services on Sunday with their children and were active at Indian Lake Church Camp.

Delores loved her family and friends. She loved spending time with them every summer at her cabin at Indian Lake. Delores has three children, Mike, Steve and Marsha. The children would take turns including mom on their family vacations as well. She enjoyed working in her garden, bowling and walking.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael (Susan) Reader, Steven (Debra) Reader; daughter Marsha (Lester) Jones; grandchildren, Robert (Faith) Reader, Rebecca (Nick) Bradley, Leslie (Jon) Fairman, Allison (Robert) Lash, Marten (Ashley) Reader, Marisa (Jacob) Hammons, Adam (Shayna) Reader, Chad Jones, Emily (Conor) Youtsey, 18 great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Mary (Larry) Cary, Marlene(Walter) Ballard; in-law, Duayne (Lois) Pierce, Jackie Christians; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Please join the family at the Lansing South Church of the Nazarene, 401 W Holmes Rd, Lansing, MI 48910 on September 9th, 2021 for a visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service starting at noon. Delores’ burial will take place immediately after her service at DeepDale Memorial Gardens, 4108 Old Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48917.
