Diane Pauline Vasilion passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 at the age of 81. Born in Lansing, Michigan to William and Myrtle (Tank) Alleyn. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Philip Alleyn.
Diane will be remembered fondly by her many friends and relatives as the person who always had a welcoming smile and was willing to lend a helping hand or just an ear to listen whenever it was needed. She loved to garden and plant flowers each year. For many years, Diane and her husband, Jim, enjoyed boating and spending time with their friends in Whitehall and Manistee, Michigan. Later, golfing became a passion for Diane. She enjoyed spending time with her friends on and off the golf course.
The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Diane. She was happy to spend time with family and friends, but most of all, spending everyday with the love of her life, Jim, whom she has been married to for 61 years.
Diane graduated from Lansing Sexton High School and attended Michigan State University. She worked as a Secretary at Oldsmobile and as an Executive Secretary for the American Camping Association. She was a highly organized person which reflected not only in her work like but also in her home life.
Diane is survived by her husband, James, and their children, Timothy (Wendy) Vasilion and Pamela (Gordon) Bruce, as well as grandsons, Alex Bruce, Luke (Bria) Vasilion, and Austin Bruce. She is also survived by her sister, Jaclyn Clough, of Howell, MI and sister-in-law, Evelyn Wright, of Lansing, Michigan.
Diane will be forever missed and remembered for her quick smile, her kindness, friendship, and love she has given each of us.
