

Dolores (Dee) Linhart Hughes, age 76, of East Lansing, MI was received into God’s arms May 10, 2015. The daughter of Emil Linhart and Martha Linhart Grieshaber, Dee was born February 20, 1939 in Tenafly, New Jersey.
Dee was an avid gardener and had a love and talent for cooking. Dee loved spending time in Northern Michigan, which she referred to as “God’s Country.” Dee served her community in several capacities including President of the East Lansing school board for eight years, Sparrow board and auxiliary volunteer, and as a volunteer for her alma mater, Michigan State University. The First Presbyterian in Lansing was Dee’s spiritual home. For over five decades, Dee offered her time and talents to make it a better place. She loved the congregation like family.
Dee is survived by her three children; Robert L. Hughes (Grand Rapids, MI), Chris J. (Liz) Hughes (East Lansing, MI), daughter Heather (Terry) Howe (Cincinnati, OH), and five grandchildren: Allison Howe, Kyle Howe, R.J. Howe, Aryana (Rio) Hughes and Austin Hughes.
Services for Dee will be held on May 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at First Presbyterian Church of Lansing, 510 W. Ottawa St., Lansing.
