Donald J. McCarthy

After attending Grand Rapids Junior College and Aquinas College, his profession of choice was in sales. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, and after several sales positions, he was the owner/manager of the Dunkin' Donut shop on East Michigan Avenue for approximately 25 years.

He was a member of St. Gerard Church.

He is remembered with love by his five children, Steve (Joyce), Kathleen (Lisa), Brian (Debbie), Kevin (Michele) and Darren McCarthy; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and lifelong friend Harriet.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. Tuesday with the memorial funeral liturgy beginning at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing, MI with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. There will be a private family internment later at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes Ministries, 831 N. Sycamore, Lansing, MI 48906 in memory of Donald.
