He was born October 13, 1924 in Pontiac, Michigan to Charles and Edythe (Knight) Price and was raised in Pontiac. He was drafted into the Army and was a proud WWII veteran who saved the life of a fellow soldier at the Panama Canal, earning him the Soldier's Medal. Following his service, Donald became a tire re-treader and inventor, creating machines and tools that allowed him to work more efficiently. He successfully patented his tubeless truck tire inflater.
Outside of work, Don loved to fish, watch sports, and spend time with his family. There was always an open invitation to go to his house and watch the game, whether it was MSU, the Tigers, or anyone else playing. Donald loved to be with his family.
Above all, Donald will be remembered for his strong faith and the love in his heart that was evident to all. He was a true servant of the Lord.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers and three sisters; step-son Peter Vuich; and grandson, Kyle Dane.
