Born May 30, 1941, the son of the late Tom and Eva Torrance, passed away October 21, 2012 at the age of 71 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was a loving husband and very proud father and will be remembered for his infections smile, always laughing and enjoying life. He had a kind and loving spirit and was always lending a helping hand to family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved the time he spent hunting and fishing. He was a veteran and served his country in the U.S. Army. Don was a resident of Lansing his whole life. He retired as an electrician from Lansing Electric Motors after many years of service and was a member of the Electrical Union Local #665. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 41 years Rose; his sons, Tom (Judy Freeman) Torrance and Tony Torrance; brothers-in-law, Pete (Janis) Vasilion, Phillip (Sandra) Vasilion, Charles (Irene) Vasilion; sister-in-law, Becky Kohuth; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in memory of Don to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S.
