My thoughts and prayers to your family. I am a 1979 graduate of Hazel Park High School and remember Mrs. Skomski as a wonderful teacher. I am currently a resident of Harrison, MI and had no idea that she had resided in Mt. Pleasant. I wish I could have attended the memorial service. Unfortunately, I only heard of her passing today. Again, my thoughts and prayers to her family.

Your mom inspired many of us to rise to the occasion whatever the odds. For many she led the way to become teachers and coaches. We share her loss, rejoice in her life, and cherish her memory.

I am sorry for the loss of your mother. I had the opportunity to have her as my coach, gym teacher, and the opportunity to be under the direction of her guidance as a Vikette. I graduated from the class of 1970. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
