Doris Marie Drake

Doris Marie (Barry) Drake Age 87, died September 20, 2013, in her home in Grand Ledge, MI. She was born October 13, 1925, in Boston, MA and was the last of ten children born to Patrick and Alice (O’Connell) Barry. Doris married on December 21, 1945 and moved to Michigan with her husband, Howard Keith Drake, who preceded her in death in 2005, after spending 59 wonderful years together. She also was preceded in death by grandson, Andrew J. Drake and is survived by her six children; Karen M. Drake of Flint, MI, Barry K. (Michelle) Drake of Ft, Wayne, IN, Steven R. (Gina Tirone) Drake of Cleveland, OH, the Honorable H. Kevin (Jane) Drake of Fremont, MI, Paul H. (Denise) Drake of Poland, OH, Dawn L. (Joe) Cortez of Lansing, MI; eight grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Kerry, Mark, Daniel, Lara Drake, Lindsey (Jeffrey) Mulder, Lesley (Ryan) Nance; and two great grandchildren, Rosie Mulder and Drake Nance. The family would like to thank Teri Myers and her staff at Royston Ridge AFC of their kind and loving support. There will be not memorial services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Royston Ridge, Inc., 10216 Royston Rd., Grand Ledge, MI 48837. Interment will be at Fountainhead Memorial Park in Melbourne, FL.
