I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Dorothy. Going to the Soo Locks, when she and Uncle Jerry came for Easter to our house in their motor home, the family reunion camping trips, shopping trip shenanigans. She has always been one of my favorite people, with the BEST sense of humor (she had to have a good sense of humor being married to Uncle Jerry!). I will always remember her smiling that huge smile, dancing, telling great stories, and loving life. She will be so missed but will remain so loved.

Jerry and Dorothy lived next to us on Forest Hill Rd in Wacousta in the 1970's ... they were the best neighbors ever! My children, Kelly and Patrick, learned to skate on their pond at a young age, and the path between our houses was well worn because of Dorothy's always welcoming and compassionate nature. In October 45 years ago, Jerry and Dorothy stood up in our wedding at the Wacousta UMC. And while we both moved on from that location, up until a few years ago we kept contact at Christmastime sharing family updates and Wacousta memories. My sincere condolences to Dorothy's family; you all were blessed to have her in your lives, as was I and my children so many years ago. May your faith, family and friends bring comfort as you mourn her loss, but knowing she has the peace and promise of life eternal.

I was sad to hear that Dorothy had passed...They lived next door to us on Forest Hill Road in Wacousta for a number of years until my mom and step-dad divorced. Jerry and Dorothy and the kids were always so kind to me and my mom and I will forever be grateful for them. Dorothy will be missed greatly and now will be watching over her sweet family :) My thoughts and prayers go out to Jerry and the kids that they may find peace in her passing.

With love,
Kelly ( mom was Barb Haywood) Bowers
