Dorothy J. Ringle

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away January 7th at the age of 93. Dorothy was born March 16, 1919 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of the late John and Lulu (Kerr) Askegard. She was a resident of Lansing for 75 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved the time spent with family and enjoyed cooking, travelling and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Forest in 1991; daughter, Carol Martin; son-in-law, Dan Martin; and brother, Louis Askegard. Surviving to cherish her memory are daughter, Linda M. (Alan) Schneider; son, Robert D. (June H.) Ringle; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 10th at First United Methodist Church, 3827 Delta River Dr., Lansing, MI 48917 with the Rev. Lori J. Sykes officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
