Douglas Allen Kurmas

Doug was born on August 12, 1986, to Suzan Kurmas (Mother) and Douglas Ray Kurmas (Father). He was raised alongside his dearly loved sister, Nicole Kurmas, by his stepfather Roy Finnie.

He was preceded in death by Dan Jones (Friend), and Chuck Clark (Friend), Delores Mcconnell (Grandma), Bonnie Mason (Grandma), Ruth Boyden (Great-Grandma), and Al Mcconnell (Great-Uncle)

Doug was passionate about the love and care of his friends and family. He was a nurturing, kind soul who expressed care by cooking for others. Always available to provide a boost in morale and spirit to those he cared about through the hardships of life, Doug was selfless and quick put others first. He invariably found the silver lining in tough situations and was incredibly strong willed.

Never one to miss an opportunity to make a loved one smile, Doug loved making others laugh and reveled in the warmth a simple joke or meme could bring. Anyone fortunate enough to be invited into his life had a special love and appreciation for Doug and his charming, funny, easy-going personality.

Doug had a great love for cats, especially Dave the Cat, his personal pet for many years. He was also known for having a special love and appreciation for classic cars and was filled with pride over his latest, a Cadillac Eldorado his stepfather Roy painted, increasing its sentimental value. Throughout the years Doug also showed great pride in other classic cars, including his birth-year 1986 Camaro IROC-Z.

A natural in sales and networking, Doug greatly enjoyed travelling and had an unmatched sense of adventure and love for trying new things.

Doug was a truly special and unique person and will be sincerely missed by the many lives his light shown on.

He will be loved and remembered by all who knew him and loved him profoundly.
