Douglas graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1981. During his high school years he excelled in the Auto Body Program at Sexton High School.
The very next day after he graduated he started working for Bud Kouts Chevrolet. After Bud Kouts he would find employment at other local body shops over the years.
Douglas is survived by his parents; brothers, Henry (Cindy) from Holt, Daniel and Michael (Becky) of Lansing, MI; nieces, Sheena, Helle, Lina, Kyra; nephew, Dylan; great niece, Dana and great nephews, Husdon and Rennan.
