Eileen was born August 17, 1923 in Detroit MI, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Stoll) Steenbock. She graduated from Potterville High School in 1941. While at Potterville High she played Women’s Basketball. At the outbreak of WWII she went to Willow Run and worked as “Rosie the Riveter” for a year and a half riveting the center wings on B-24 Liberators. As soon as she turned 21 enlisted in the Navy Waves and served in Washington DC as Yeoman First Class.
October 20, 1998 she married Raymond Boudreau who survives.
She worked in various jobs with the last being with Michigan State Police where she retired. She also was a twenty five year volunteer for the Michigan Red Cross.
In addition to her husband Ray, she is survived by Sons Roy Vernon of Dimondale and Dan Russell of Okemos, Granddaughters Angela Maddelein of Lansing and Laura (NIck) Liles and Izzy the Dog of Lansing and a Great grandson Lance Maddelein of Lansing (whose beloved dog "Buddy", better known to his grandma as "Little Pony" will also be greatly missed). She was preceeded in death by her Mother Mary Sophia (Stoll) Steenbock in 1936. Her father Henry J Steenbock and two brothers , Vernon, and Roy who were killed tragically in the Steenbock Gravel pit accident Hastings MI in 1952 and her brother Walter 1996.
Funeral services will be held on Monday September 30, 2013 at Funeral home. Visitation will be Monday 10:00 to 12:00 with the funeral immediately following. Burial will be at Rose Cemetery in Bath MI following the funeral.
