Uncle Elvin was such a blessing to all of us.  We loved him so much and will miss his beautiful smile and loving spirit.  We know that we were blessed to have him in our lives.  With love, Bob & Tricia

I will deeply miss my Grandpa. He was truly an amazing person. He was kind and generous, created a positive and calm atmosphere wherever he was, and was always ready with an interesting story or a well placed pun. 
He delighted in making Christmas a beautiful celebration and a magical set of childhood memories by setting up a tree and filling his living room with gifts for his four grandchildren every year. I still love Christmas and celebrate it despite no longer being religious and I think that's partly his doing.
My mother (Heather) and I went with him (and Betty while she was able) to American Bell Association conventions whenever they were within driving distance over the last decade or so. I am so glad I have gotten to share in one of his hobbies. I feel the delight of it whenever I look at the bells on my mantle that I got on our trips to the convention.
When he died I rang all of them. My love for him will persist.

I have fond memories of deep and wide ranging conversations with Tut.  And we appreciate the leadership he provided to Pilgrim Men's Fellowship.

I was saddened to hear Elvin had passed. 
I used to cut his hair at Modern Barbers for years until retiring  in 2003. 
I always looked forward to seeing him each month. Hearing of his and Betty's travels to Bell conventions. His genealogy findings and later when Betty was starting to fail, about his trials and  determination to keep her as active as he could. 
He never complained. Always had a smile on his face and be as positive as one could be. 
He was a very special client. I am glad to have been able to serve him.  Prayers go out to your families.

Growing up at Pilgrim Church Mr. Tuttle was always a mainstay personality.  He was a good friend to my parents and will be remembered fondly.

Tut, you were the best 'work friend' I ever had, from my first day at Motor Wheel, when I was assigned the cubicle next to yours.  I will always remember the friendship we shared, how you got me into genealogy, just sitting and talking about anything under the sun.  Thank you, my friend.  May the angels welcome you to Paradise.

The picture you've used is a wonderful example of his positive attitude and grace.  He was a mainstay at Pilgrim Church not always in the limelight but getting things like bylaws updates and the History for the 100th Anniversary completed.  His presence on Sundays was a quiet message of faith and dedication to me and I'm sure to other Pilgrim members.  
The empty place in his favorite pew will be a constant reminder of our loss and his gain.


So many wonderful memories of Tut and Betty. One fun thing was that Tut and I regularly ran into each other while shopping at Meijer and would enjoy catching up then. He will be missed!!

Tut was a very special person, always kind and gentle. We would talk for hours about our shared interests in history, geography and our Army experiences. He is with Jesus!

I am getting ready to retire from the automotive industry and worked with Tut at Motor Wheel...my first engineering job.  I am absolutely serious when I say that Tut was the nicest person I ever worked with in the automotive sector!  He was a great man...you were lucky to have him in your life!

so many great memories of a great neighbor.  You will forever be in my heart.  Always and kind and caring gentleman.  Never a harsh word.  I know Betty met you with open arms and a huge smile.  Fly high my wonderful neighbor.  You will be missed in our neighborhood
