Evert was born in Seville Township on January 6, 1936 and was raised with his 10 siblings in Shepard, MI until he met and married the love of his life RoseAnne. They married September 4, 1954 and spent the next 66 years together until her passing.
In his early years, he was a volunteer firefighter for DeWitt township. He then spent 50+ years working for Lansing Lumber Pageant Homes, where he loaded and delivered materials for homes, and worked in the yard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outside.
Surviving is his brother Roy (Nancy) Welch, 5 children; Debra Franke, Ronald (Michele) Welch, Roxanne (Mark) Davis, Loretta (Neil) Conklin, Melissa (Marty) Belen, 18 grandchildren; Dennis Franke, Chad Franke, Ronalee (Kyle) Nicholas, Jonathon (Mikeala) Welch, Joey (Kaylee Butts) Welch, Amanda (Scott) Bedard, Andrea (Kyle) Watson, Stacy Davis, John (Emma) Conklin, Kari Conklin, Hannah Belen and Kathleen Belen, 10 great grandchildren; Ember Nicholas, Gunnar and Rivers Welch, Hadley and Hensley Welch, Cameron Bedard, Kaleb, Kolton, and Kinzlee Watson, and Carolee Conklin.
