Florence N Hill

Born February 7, 1925 in Ironwood, MI to William and Toini (Johnson) Nelson, died May 7, 2013 at the age of 88. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School; was a long active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she participated in the Greater Lansing Food Bank. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and especially caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1989, daughter Joanne Hill in 1951 and grandson Torrey in 2008. Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons, Robert (Linda) Hill, Ronald (Nan) Hill, and Richard (Wanda) Hill; four grand children, Jason, Kristine, Michael, and Jessaca; two great grandchildren, Jessee and Jarrett, and one great great grandchild, Leah; 2 sisters Doris McRae and Carolyn (Richard) Dembowski, and cousin Russell Moloski.

A “Coronation Service” will be celebrated on Monday, May 13 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at 501 W. Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, Michigan with Pastor G. Travis Downs officiating The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. There will be a visitation on Sunday, May 12 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel at 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in memory of Florence.
