Floyd G. Starin

Age 74 passed away at home on March 26, 2010 surrounded by family. He was born October 8, 1935 in Lansing, MI. Floyd worked at The John Henry Company for 48 years retiring on June 29, 2001. Upon retiring he volunteered with Lansing Police Department doing Handicap Enforcement and the River Walk patrol. Floyd loved watching football, boxing and hockey. He enjoyed bowling and playing slow and fast pitch softball. He was preceded in death by his parents August and Florine Starin, and wife Yvonne (McDaniels) Starin. Surviving are his children Larry (Crystal) of Potterville, Craig (Becky) of Lansing, Tom (Monica) of Charlotte, Rick (Karen) of Holt, Cyndi (Larry) Jones of Laingsburg, step-daughter Susan (Roger) Franke of Eaton Rapids, brother Lloyd (Clara) of Lansing, Joyce (Stan) Huffman of Lansing, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren with one on the way and loving companion and friend, Barbara Murphy of Lansing. Visitation will take place Monday, March 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home 900 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. March 30 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Sparrow Hospice Foundation, P. O.
