Born June 4, 1926 in Uvalde, TX, the daughter of the late Nicolas and Maria (Lopez) Reina, passed away August 5, 2012 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elias Cortez, Sr.; sons, Elias Cortez, Jr., Armando Cortez, Ricardo Cortez, Hernan Cortez and Jesus Cortez; and daughters, Olivia Hannah, Gloria Moyer, Laurie Cortez and Maria Cortez. Surviving to cherish her memory are daughters, Consuelo Cortez, Sue (Jim) Tissue and Jane (Mark) Lifsey; sons, Raul (Vicki) Cortez, Ruben Cortez, Carlos Cortez and Tony (Kim) Cortez; as well as numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI.
