Fred “Bud” Glen Pratt went to be with the Lord on June 30th, 2017. He was born May 14, 1937. He was preceded in death his firstborn son, Teddy, by both his parents, Fred and Elizabeth Pratt, sisters Catherine and Mildred, grandson Jacob Aaron Dwight. Bud, dad, gramps or grandpa as he was called by many, was an adventurous spirit from the beginning of his life. Growing up on the river did not offer enough excitement and Bud ran off and joined the army around 17 years old. He came back to Michigan to lay down some roots and his daughter Beverly Pratt joined the world and gave him two grandchildren, David and Beth Pratt. Dad found new adventures in life and then became a father again, once with tragedy, and then two more daughters later, Tracy and Jeana Graves who gave him three granddaughters, Kelly and Kimberly Graves and Jeana Graves. Adventure got the best of dad again and he decided to go out west and strike his fortune like many before him. He found time to graduate from barber school, He also had a logging business for a number of years in Northern Idaho. He married for a third and final time having two more children Melissa and Fred Jr. He not only raised them, but Philip R. Swan as well, their older brother. Melissa and Fred both gave him three grandsons and one granddaughter. Tyler and Jacob Dwight and Camron and Savaya Pratt. Dad always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He never met a dog he didn’t like, or chair he could not sleep in. He loved to chat it up at the local coffee spot and never met a stranger. In his short life of 80 years, he lived many lifetimes with a couple careers, and achieved the status of great, great grandfather. But mostly one would say that Bud, Fred, dad or grandpa was loved by all and the best part of life was when he was in it.
