Our beloved mother passed away peacefully and entered into eternal life February 12, 2015, at the age of 93. She was born March 26, 1921 in Lansing, MI to Joseph and Frances (Stanton) Solomon; graduated from Eastern High School in 1939; and worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone.
Frieda married Roy “Jack” Andrews November 21, 1948. They raised their family in St. Johns and then Lansing. For many years she worked with her husband in their sporting goods store in St. Johns. She loved antiques and refinishing furniture. Her home was filled with pieces she lovingly restored. She loved her Lord and South Church where she was actively and faithfully involved for several years.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Roy; granddaughter, Michelle; and brother, Kenneth.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Nancy (David) Crego; son, Michael Cutler, grandchildren, Kim (Paul) Kirk and Christine Cutler; 5 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and special niece, Linda Bartlett of Fort Wayne, IN.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI 48906 with Rev. Doug Phillips officiating. Frieda was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. We are comforted in knowing she is now and forever at peace with her Lord.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Hospice Advantage, especially Lynn Rigelman for her loving care and support of our mother. We will be forever grateful.
