Gary R. Gardner
On May 19, 2022 at the age of 73 Gary passed on into paradise. Gary grew up in Lansing, MI and attended Sexton High School. After graduation he was employed by the State of Michigan, until retirement.
Gary married Mary Ann Thelen on July 13, 1973 and they were blessed with 49 years of marriage. Gary attended St. Therese Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, casino trips, going to the movies, camping and relaxing on the deck swing with his love.
Surviving Gary are his wife, Mary Ann Gardner; brother, Philip (Mary) Gardner; brothers-in-law, Charles (Sandee) Thelen and Richard Thelen; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Madeliene Gardner; brother, John Gardner; in-laws, Ernest and Betty Thelen; and sister-in-law, Susan Sanders.
A visitation for Gary will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917. A rosary service will occur Monday, May 23, 2022 at 7:00 PM, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917. A visitation will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing, MI 48906. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing, MI 48906.
