Gary Lee Ozanich

Gary Lee Ozanich, age 71, of Dewitt, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Gary was born August 11, 1950. Gary L. Ozanich, DeWitt, Age 71, our beloved husband, father, brother; He passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2022, surrounded by family. Gary was born August 11th, 1950 in Lansing, MI. Gary was a 1968 graduate of Gabriels High School of Lansing and a lifelong member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church - Lansing, MI . He worked for the MEA and MESSA for over 35 years and was currently enjoying retirement with wife Mary, traveling the world and loving life. Gary loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family and friends, basking in a chorus of laughter. If the Tiger’s were winning, all the better. He loved teaching his boys how to fish and enjoyed many seasons playing softball in East Lansing. Gary will lovingly be remembered for his warmth, kindness and generosity. He was preceded in death by father, Casimer Ozanich, mother, Elizabeth Ozanich (Pollentier), wife Jane Ozanich (Bentley), and sister Sandra Fox (Ozanich). Surviving are his wife of seven years, Mary Ozanich (Watkins); three sons, Kirk Ozanich, Eric Ozanich, and Matthew Ozanich; Step-son James Watkins II; Step-daughter Danielle (Jason) Casselman; and sister, Josette Sheaffer (Ozanich). Contributions may be made to St. Therese Church in memory of Gary. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline-Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw Street. Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 AM Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing. Rite of committal St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
