George graduated from Central High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1954, and provided 36 years of service to Oldsmobile, retiring in 1982.
George was married 56 years to Marian (Larson), who preceded him in death in 2011. George is survived by his children: Philip (Karen) Sorrell, Dean (Rhonda Kennedy) Sorrell, and Elizabeth (Jay) Youngquist; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Gawronski; and sister-in-law, Roberta Roden; and nieces and nephews. A private service was held.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at UofM Sparrow Hospice House for their exceptional care during George’s final days.
