Age 77, died April 30th, born October 13, 1938 to Horace and Margaret VanPatten. Gerald loved spending time with his family and fishing with the Far Horizon Fishing team. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marlene; daughters, Lisa Kreiter and Kelly (Rick) Vogt; son, Jason (Michele); grandchildren, Brittany (Casey) Wick, Rachel (Sage) Fox, Jay, Molly, Alex, Alexis and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Elijah, Théoden and Rowan; sister, Sandra (Bill) Hammond. Funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, May 4th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with Rev Michael C. Bater officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6- 8 pm and one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place after the service at Deepdale Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
