Glen, Glenna, Peg, Becky & Families, 
I'm so sorry to hear this amazing lady has left us.   She was the first visitor from the office when my first baby was born.  Her laugh was contagious, and her love for her family and joyous spirit will always be  a bright light for anyone who knew her and loved her.   I pray all the wonderful memories you had together comfort you.

Aunt Gert was having a good day, the last time that I saw her.  My Uncle Glenn had driven them to Holland, and my driveway was one of their stops.  She made a few funny remarks about her latest health problems,  just to get me to laugh.  She shared a few photos of her grandchildren and asked about mine as well.  That was typical of her always ready sense of humor and interest in others.
I remember that she was always busy outside of the responsibilities of homemaking.  She worked with the elderly in Chelsea, MI.  I’m sure her sparkling personality was a joy to all patrons that she touched. 
People in our family liked to kid her about being so talkative.  She married into a large quiet group of Dutch people.  I enjoyed having Aunt Gert among that mix.  She happily acknowledged her desire to talk. 
I will miss you Aunt Gert.  I know your family will too.  But you have left us with many happy memories.
