Gilberto Lira Bermudez

Gilberto Lira Bermudez, age 91, was born on December 24, 1934, in Three Rivers, Texas, and peacefully passed away on June 19, 2026, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. He was a devoted Husband (Eloisa V. Bermudez) father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose love, strength, and guidance touched the lives of many.

Gilberto was a man who valued family above all else. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Dorotea Bermudez Rocha, Gilbert Bermudez jr , Joann V. Bermudez, Virginia Bermudez, Jesse Bermudez, Edward Bermudez, Ruben Bermudez, Melinda Gonzales, Francisca Bermudez Popp, JoseAnna Wright, and Victoria Bermudez.

He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy throughout his life.

Gilberto will be remembered for his love of family, his wisdom, his strength, and the lasting impact he made on generations of loved ones. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday, June 26, 2026, at Cristo Rey Church, 201 W Miller Rd, Lansing, with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of Mass.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
