Gloria Luella Dunckel

Lansing, MI

Born August 25, 1923 in Jackson, MI, to David and Hazel Frankeberger, went home to be with the Lord September 7, 2011 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon in 1999 and her brother Clare King. Surviving are her daughters, Ramona Lee Dunckel and Marsha Kay (Douglas) Brook; son, Brian E. (Pat) Dunckel; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Katrina) Brook, Jeremy (Michelle) Brook, Jon Brook, Joel Brook, Blair Dunckel, Kevin Dunckel; great grandchildren, Quentin, Mason, Elijah, Avery, Sawyer and Grant Brook. Gloria was a lifelong resident of Lansing. She was a very active member of the Maranantha Baptist Church serving as chair of the Mission Committee for many years. She retired from MSU after 27 years and loved to travel and knit. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. September 12, 2011 at Maranantha Baptist Church, 2300 N. Waverly Rd., Lansing, with Rev. Glenn M. Ray Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI and 1 hour prior @ the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Capital Area Child Evangelism Fellowship, 4215 W. Mt.
