Born April 22, 1919 in Lansing, the son of the late Clyde and Marion Soper, passed away July 25, 2012 at the age of 93. Harold proudly served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He retired from Oldsmobile as a metal finisher after 30 years of service. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Linda Staelens of Nampa, ID; and special cousin Clifford Hart; as well as numerous other cousins, and special friend Melissa Sue Robinson. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing with Pastor Zerehaimanot Yohannes officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI.
