Hanson family,
We were so fortunate to have Harry and Lois living next door to us up at our cottage on Crystal Lake.  Both of them were so loving and giving, helpful and patient with our noisy family and guests for over 14 summers at the lake.  So many times we had small cottage/dock/boat issues pop up that Harry (and usually his sidekick, Bernie) would help us fix and his shed was full of the most amazing treasures -- our little boys were in awe of Harry's shed full of stuff!  How well I remember the time we had a family of skunks living under our shed.  Harry instructed us in how to catch the babies and when we did, he made several trips with boxes of baby skunks to an animal conservation specialist in Benzie County to see that they were released safely (far away from our homes!).  We were so blessed to have both Harry and Lois in our lives, especially in the lives of our children who grew up next door to them and view them as surrogate grandparents.  Katrina and John, you know how fond we were of your parents.  They have been and will continue to be greatly missed.

 ' LOIS AND HARRY were my friends since Eastern High . he was in my art class and he continued to paint beautifull oil paintings in his home, he loved his wife and children and talked about them often, he will always be rememberd as a kind and loving person who was a constant companion of his dog 'Irish', Rest in Peace Harry I will miss you, Evelyn PiskornikI

Dear nieces and nephews, I just learmed of Harrys passing, he was a great brother in law, and uncle to my boys Mark and Phillip Hall, I Virginia Hall, thought the world of him,and all the happy times we had years ago, at gramma Hall cottage. We all feel very sad. We were all pet lovers. We will all miss him.

Everyone in our family loved Harry and will cherish all the great memories we have of him.  Our thoughts are with you.  Dave and Nancy Diedrich

Harry was a lifelong friend of my father's for over 70 years. I last saw him at Jackie's Diner having breakfast.  We talked the whole time. Over the years my folks and I would stop over to see Harry and Lois.  If I was lucky one of you kids would be home.  As a little kid it was fun to hang out with older kids.  We all shared many special times had so many laughs, stories and fond memories of your dad, a wonderful  man and friend.  May God Bless you and wrap his loving arms. around you, your family and friends now and in the coming days.

Dear Greg, Jeff, Katrina and Lisa, We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. How special it is that our dad's have shared a lifetime friendship.
