

of Lansing, MichiganAge 78, Helen passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Helen was born in Lansing, MI on September 2, 1930. She was the youngest daughter of Margaret and Edward DeBoer. She graduated from Everett High School in 1949. She was one of many of her family to graduate from Everett High. She married James Aaron Hardin on May 27, 1950 in Corinth, MS. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life revolved around her family and she was happiest when surrounded by them. She definitely had a determined, spunky, side that showed her Dutch heritage. She was a strong willed spitfire. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James, after 48 years of marriage; and her parents, 2 sisters and a brother.
Surviving are her children, Randy (Sandy) Hardin of Florida, Micky (Pat) Hardin of Nashville, MI, Patty Hardin of Dimondale, and Chad (Wendy) Hardin of Holt; and her 4 grandchildren, Jenny (Chris) Daniher, Greta Hardin, Travis (Sarah) Hardin, and Carrie (Jerrod) Cousins; 3 great-grandchildren, Lizzy, Logan, and Ellie.
Per her request cremation has already been preformed. A private burial will be performed at a later date next to her husband. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice and Airway Oxygen for everything they did too make her last days more comfortable. Anyone wishing to make contributions to Heartland Hospice would be greatly appreciated. The family couldn?t recommend any other organization anymore highly.
