Henry Murray

Of Lansing, MichiganOur loving husband, father and grandfather died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at the age of 85. Henry was born December 27, 1921 in West Frankfort, Illinois and was the son of Thomas and Lizzie (Nolta) Murray. He worked for Oldsmobile in the tool room for 40 years and retired January 1989. He has been a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1954 and was a deacon and usher for many years. Henry liked to watch football and basketball games and car racing on TV. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Helen L. (Holder); son, Richard Alan; daughter, Linda Sue; grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Harmon and Craig Allen Murray; great-grandchildren, Samuel Alexander and Kate Marie Harmon. Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation is 6-8pm Thursday, April 19, 2007 with Funeral Services 11:00am Friday, April 20, 2007 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw Hwy, Lansing 48917. Rev. James E. Robinson, of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Interment is Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with graveside Military Honors provided by Morley S. Oates V.F.W. Post 701.
