Howard Young

Howard “Tack” Young, 89, of Lansing, Michigan passed away December 19, 2013. Howard was born December 8, 1924 to the late Harry and Cleo (Ruse) Young in Bluffton, Indiana. He worked as an electrical engineer for Motor Wheel and Goodyear. He was a charter member of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish. Howard was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed sports, woodworking, fishing, and camping; he was also an avid card player.

Howard was preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh Young, and Harry Young, Jr., and his sister, Ramah Young. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Georgette; daughters, Jan DeMarco, Jill (Bill) Hundt, and Jean (Jeff) Harris; son, Mark (Monica) Young; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Rose Niblock, Rae Sterle, and Rhoda Smith; and many special nieces and nephews.

Due to the weather, a funeral Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S Cochran Rd, Charlotte, MI 48813.
