Age 79, died October 31, 2015; born March 10, 1936. Ida was a resident of Lansing all of her life. She retired from the State of Michigan in 1998. Ida was a member of South Church. She loved nature, especially squirrels, dogs and birds. Ida also loved the soap operas and going to the movies as well as traveling. Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Ivon; brothers, Dennis, David and Lawrence; sisters, Barbara Clark and Norma Sidel. She is survived by her step-daughters; step-son; step-grandchildren; nephew, Michael (Sylvia) Sidel; many additional nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm, Thursday, November 5, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, Michigan.
