Born August 17, 1922 in Oakley, MI, to Earl and Violet Woodruff, passed away November 13, 2011 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents; 8 siblings; and her husband of 47 years, Edmund in 1987. Surviving are her son, Gary (Dawn) Webb; daughter, Delores (LeRoy) Rogers; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. She will be remembered and greatly missed as a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a very artistic woman enjoying local arts and crafts and attending shows. She was a member of the Lansing Craft and Hobby Guild for more than 25 years. She was a band member of the Delhi Strafford Apts. a group that performed for various local retirement communities. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Douglas VanderJagt for his compassionate care of Ida. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with the Rev. Joe Huston of Grovenburg United Methodist Church in Holt officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing. Those desiring may make contributions to Scheffel Memorial Toy Project, 5937 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Lansing 48911 in Ida’s memory.
