Irene L. Coscarelli

Irene was born on April 13, 1918 in Chicago, Il and died June 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfonso J.; her parents; Carmine and Louise (DeLuca) Falbo; sisters Frances Wilken, Emily VanVleck and infant sister Rosie. Irene is survived by her children, Robert J. (Mary E.) Coscarelli, Marilyn Rogers, Donald (Kathy) Coscarelli, John Coscarelli, Thomas Coscarelli, Joseph (Donna) Coscarelli, Alan (Mary) Coscarelli, Arthur (Klisti) Coscarelli, James (Tonya) Coscarelli; 19 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and brother Nicholas (Mary) Falbo. Irene was a long time member of the Church of the Resurrection. She loved to crochet, was an avid reader and enjoyed working on puzzles. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wed. June 22 at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Ave. Lansing with the Rev. Pancrapius Kerketta officiating. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. Visitation for Mrs. Coscarelli will be Tues. June 21, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave. from 2-4, and 6-8 and 1 hour prior to her service at the church. The Rosary will be prayed at 7pm on Tues. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St Vincent Catholic Charities, 2800 West Willow, Lansing, MI 48917 or to the Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Prestige Pines for the care given to Irene.
