Age 91, born June 8, 1921 in Lansing, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday October 4, 2012. Irving, the son of Arthur and Gladys (Harrington) Davis, was a corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He graduated with honors from MSU after returning home from the war. Irving retired after 36yrs from the Mich. Dept. of Public Health. He was a dedicated member of North Westminster Presbyterian Church. He led a successful professional, family, and faith filled life. He modestly shared his time, gifts, and treasures with those in need.
Irving is survived by his son Craig, of Lansing, daughter Jean (Michael) of Hoskins, Nebr., sisters Barbara (Robert) Hamilton of PA, Marilyn (William) Waters of Perry, brother-in-law Floyd Waters of IN, 8 grandchildren and spouses, and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Doris (Weeks), son Larry, infant son Keith, sisters Virginia Edgett, and Marjorie Waters.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later time. Internment services will be held at 1pm October 8th in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing with Pastor Timothy officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Westminster Church in Irving’s name.
