She was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Harrison, Mich., the daughter of Thomas and Elsie Holmes.
A longtime employee of Oldsmobile, she retired as an executive secretary. She married James Herrick Diener on Feb. 14, 1964, and together they also owned homes on Burt Lake Mich., and Longboat Key, Fla. He died Oct. 18, 1998.
Ivah enjoyed working puzzles and crosswords, playing cards, and playing the organ.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine (Robert) Gustin of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren Erin (Damien) Young of Pahoa, Hawaii; and Andrew Gustin of Akron, Ohio; and a close friend, Marsha Hopkins of Lansing.
Gorsline Runciman Funeral in Lansing is in charge of arrangements. There will be a graveside service in Deepdale Memorial Gardens on August 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
