Jackie was one of the first people I met when I came to Madison. Over the years, I came to see her as one of the most hard working, knowledgeable, and effective colleagues I've ever known. More importantly, she was also one of the most caring, funny, and friendly. She was wonderful. I extend my sincere condolences to her family.

Dear Kellie, Elizabeth and family, we loved your mother very much. She took very good care of all of us from the day that we interviewed at the college until each and every day that we worked together. Her great sense of humor and dignity will be very missed by so many of us. Especially by Louis and me. With love, Connie, Louis and Tim Hunt

I can't avoid the painful reflection of Jackie's so early leaving this world. Yet, it is such great pleasure to be afforded this opportunity to recall the joys we knew, the accomplishments we achieved working together, the extraordinary storehouse of JMC lore she was for me and so many others, and the unflagging devotion to the College family. In the most important respect, Madison is as much Jackie's memorial as it is anyone's. I shall remember her so.

Dear Elizabeth, Kellie and the rest of Jackie's family,
My heart aches for you at the loss of Jackie. I will forever hold her dear to my heart. I have many wonderful memories of my 9 years working with her in JMC. She had such a loving heart. She continued to send me warm wishes after I lost my husband. Jackie's birthday and my wedding anniv. both fell on Oct. 4 and we loved sharing that date. Just recently, June 29, she sent me this message on face book. "Dearest Robin--someome in my mind and heart has been speaking to me...saying "Robin...bless her and keep her."
Very weird, and that rarely happens to me. I guess I just need to say that I am thinking of you, dear friend. Love you. (end of her message) Isn't that awesome? It warmed my heart then, and I told her so, and it means even more to me now. That was the kind of person Jackie was. She was so loving and made sure that you knew it. I know she is at peace in the loving arms of Jesus, and I look forward to the day I will see her again. Love, peace, comfort and strength to all of you. Jackie, this is not good bye, but just a farewell until we meet again.
